Rekeep celebrates the tenth edition of Un futuro di valore (“A Valuable Future”), the initiative that rewards the most deserving students in Italy each year by granting valuable scholarships.

No fewer than 290 scholarships will be handed out in the 2019-2020 edition, 201 of which worth Euro 400 to higher secondary school students and 89 worth Euro 1,000 to university students, amounting to about Euro 170 thousand in all. The awards are intended for the children of permanent Rekeep Group employees (who make up 92% of its total workforce) that have served for at least twelve months.

Emilia Romagna, Lazio and Veneto are the Regions where most awards have been granted in this year’s edition, in which the number of applications has risen (381 have been received) and the average results of the students awarded have improved.

Ten years after the initiative was launched in 2010, therefore, the Rekeep Group confirms its commitment to foster merit and solidarity by means of an investment that topped more than Euro 1.4 million this year, for about 2,700 scholarships to almost 1,200 students, many of whom have received more than one award during their student career.

This amount is an addition to the other funds that the Rekeep Group is using all the time for its employees in the framework of company welfare projects.
Regrettably, owing to the Covid-19 health emergency, the usual tour of cheque-giving ceremonies at the Group’s main offices cannot take place this year. Leading representatives of the economic and institutional worlds have always attended these events, in addition to the top management of Rekeep. The young people concerned this year have recently been informed of the assignment of the awards and the grants are expected to be paid out during the coming weeks.

These Scholarships are a further expression of our business activity, one of whose forms is also the ability to play a social and beneficent role in the areas in which we operate,” said Claudio Levorato, Chairman of Manutencoop Società Cooperativa, the holding company controlling Rekeep S.p.A., who conceived the project in 2010 and has sustained it ever since. “For ten years we have managed a project and made it grow that shows our intention to invest constantly in the welfare of our human resources; initiatives of this kind, moreover, are also a wonderful example of intergenerational solidarity in which our workers take on responsibility for students’ needs with the aim of building a better future together.

For the tenth year, with this initiative we are encouraging students who have really stood out for the commitment they have put into their courses of study to grow accompanied by the desire for knowledge and to complete their learning according to their own inclinations,” said Giuliano Di Bernardo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rekeep S.p.A.This is more important still this year, in which schools and universities have also been devastated in the current health emergency. Young people are among the vulnerable segments of our world; we have to support them and not squander the interest and keenness with which they show that they are a resource for the future of our society.

Obviously the photograph is from our archives: it is an image of the award ceremony in Veneto last year.
